Dear Mr. Aronstein:

This is in further response to your letters of January 4, 1996 and March 29, 1996 providing information relative to an aluminum wiring twist-on connector Listed by UL
in 1995. I have forwarded that information to the responsible members of our engineering staff for consideration and inclusion in the continuing review of UL's
requirements for the Listing of twist-on connectors.

If we are understanding your input correctly, you are suggesting that the requirements of the UL 486C Standard should be supplemented with additional testing procedures.
All suggestions and input received relative to the investigation of these connectors, including comments provided by CPSC, have been included in UL's review.

It should be understood that the current requirements of this standard were developed with extensive public review. In any case, UL will consider all new information,
including the suggestion that additional testing be applied to these twist-on type connectors for altimirium wire as apart of UL's ongoing standards development process.
